The Frankfurt Research Institute for Architecture • Civil Engineering • Geomatics (FFin) stands for research competence in planning, construction and operation in the Frankfurt Rhine-Main agglomeration.
Current FFin specialist groups are: New Mobility | Global Urbanization | Textile Lightweight Construction | Renewable Energies in Landmanagement | Municipal Policy as eGaming | SiReNe | Post-War Modernism (in German only) | Laboratory for Facility Management (in German only)
To introduce students to the topic of research and development, combined teaching and research projects are conducted.
With its planning and construction-related disciplines, the Frankfurt Research Institute for Architecture • Civil Engineering • Geomatics demonstrates a special social responsibility for the sustainable structural development and well-being of people in urban and rural areas. Application-oriented research delivers results for resource-saving planning and development as well as an aesthetically pleasing design of the built environment.
Interdisciplinary research is one of the particular strengths of the scientists who are bundled in the Frankfurt Research Institute for Architecture • Civil Engineering • Geomatics and is reflected in the research fields of the institute:
The research institute is located in Frankfurt am Main, one of the largest knowledge nodes in Europe. Our Goal (German) is to initiate transfer processes between research and practice.
