Restructuring in Agglomerations

Strategies between modernization backlogs and building hype

The missing modernization of many overaged infrastructure facilities presents an obstacle in development for the growing and prospering agglomerations. The need for energetically modernized and attractive residential and working spaces is as high as the German societies claim for a high living comfort on a high technical level. The congress showed with practical and research projects, how the modernization pressure on buildings and traffic facilities as well as utility services in the water, electricity and telecommunication sector can be taken away. To secure a sustainable urban development that takes environmental, human, building cultural and economic interests into account equally, the goals of the Frankfurt 10-Point-Plan for the implementation of the energy policy turnaround in agglomerations has been deepened in the Framework of this congress.

The congress which took place on February 17, 2014 dealt with this topic and, with the Moderator Thomas Ranft, had a prominent head who lead sovereignly and charmingly through the event.
