Textile light Weight Construction of the Future

The potential of three dimensional, foamed textiles for architectural application was depicted in the exhibition “Experimental Pavilion – Textile light weight construction of the future”. When doing textile lightweight construction composed of modular, partly foamed textiles the material thickness of spacer fabrics is used. They are composed of two surface layers and are kept in distance by so called “pile threads”. One of the goals of this research was to be “Better than a Tent”.
