The Frankfurt UAS offers open degree programs and restricted (NC) degree programs.
In programs with restricted admissions, a selection procedure is carried out as soon as the number of applications exceeds the number of places available. Based on the 10% quota for foreign first-year students, the admission decision is made according to the legal regulations. Since the ranking list and an admission decision can only be made after the application deadline, you will receive written notification from the International Office of Frankfurt UAS approximately 4 to 6 weeks after the application deadline.
In open, i.e. non-restricted courses of study, you will always be granted a place and can enroll if your application has been submitted in due time and form and you meet all admission requirements for the desired course of study.

Selection procedure
For each NC-course a ranking list is formed with all applicants. For applicants from non-EU-countries that are not on an equal footing with Germans, study places with a foreign university entrance qualification are only available up to 10% of the established admission figures in accourdance with the Regulation on the Determination of Admissions Figures at the universities of Hesse in the currently valid version.
Usually, in NC selection procedures study beginners will be preferentially considered, that means applicants who have not been enroled at a higher education institute in Germany already. This administrative practice has also been recognised as admissible and correct by order of the Administrative Court of Frankfurt am Main (file number V/1 G 2299/92).
The selection limits of the current and past semesters can be found in the attached PDF.
Exception: Applicants with EU-/EEA-citizenship as well as applicants from third countries who are married to a EU/EEA-citizen are not admitted via the 10%-quota for foreigners, but take part in the German selection procedure. This group will receive the admission decision from the study office. The selection limits can be found here.
There will be no International Admissions office hours on Wednesday, 29/03/2023.
You are welcome to register for our General Question Time on Thursday, 30/03/2023 (11:00-12:00).
