Bachelor degree courses
On Bachelor level, the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences does not offer any programs completely taught in foreign languages. There are programs available in which some courses are taught in English. However, if you want to achieve a full Bachelor’s degree it will be essential to match the German language requirements.
Admission criteria for the university access
Like in your home country, only certain education levels enable you to study at an institution of higher education. uni-assist checks beforehand whether or not you are entitled to study at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences for a fee.
The criteria are uniformly set in Germany and are based on the provisions of the Central Office for Foreign Education in Bonn, as well as the Ministry for Science and Art of Hesse, which is authorized to issue instructions with respect to admission matters. You can check whether you are entitled to study in Germany under anabin.kmk.org.
Should you have been enrolled despite the provisions, via the assessment of home certificates, and the admission matters at a different institution of higher education, you are protected of legitimate expectations at the other institution. Every institution of higher education decides itself about admissions.
Special information for the admission
Please note that we cannot process enrollment applications/admission applications and must object them, if they do not meet the requirements stated below!
Iranian applicants must include the proof of passing the inter-university higher education entrance examination with a report card in the original language and a certified translation into the German language in the application. You cannot study without this university entrance examination at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences since March 2001. The university entrance examinations for the free Islamic universities are not accepted.
A course-related pre-study internship is required for the admission and enrollment for certain degree courses. The certificate issued by the training company stating the content and the time frame of the internship is sufficient. The internship must be concluded prior to the begin of the lectures.
The proof of the pre-study internship must be submitted along with the application for admission-restricted degree courses.
Please ensure that the company you are completing your internship with states the exact times and the tasks you have completed on this certificate.
If the internship certificate is not sufficiently informative, a detailed internship report can be requested.
We require the original internship certificate and its certified translation into the German language, if you did not complete your internship in Germany. Please note that not all internship certificates from abroad can be accepted.
The certificate must include details about the company including address, entry into the company registry or tax register. Stamp of the company and the name and signature of the person, issuing the certificate, must be clearly visible. Only internship certificates from companies, who are entitled to train or master businesses are accepted.
