Information & Networking

Presentation from IG Metall: Work & Study

In particular international students want or have to work besides their studies in Germany: both for a financial basis and for practical experiences to find a job after graduating. And there is a lot to consider:

  • Who is allowed to work?
  • How long are international students allowed to work?
  • What about an internship?
  • Social security contributions and taxes
  • Employment law
  • Whom to contact with issues?

This lecture is address to Non-EU students, which obtain a residence permit for the purpose of study ("Aufenthaltserlaubnis nach § 16 AufenthG zum Zwecke des Studiums").

The meet@frankfurt-university is one of the biggest and known university fairs in Hesse. Annually, companies provide jobs, thesis topics and internships to students and graduates, not only from Frankfurt UAS but all students from universities in the RheinMain region.

Take the chance to inform yourself about the academic labor market, the application/recruitment procedures and get personally in touch with recruiters and HR responsibles from well-knowm companies in a friendly athmosphere.

Personalabteilungen (HR) möchten Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter gewinnbringend für die Ziele und Wünsche der Unternehmen rekrutieren. Um passende Kandidatinnen und Kandidaten zu finden, machen immer mehr Unternehmen von Recruiting Software Gebrauch. Auf Basis der Software werden Profile generiert und Algorithmen erstellt, um somit eine bestmögliche Auswahl zu treffen.

 

Das Seminar unterstützt Sie dabei Ihre Bewerbungsunterlagen auf diese (neuen) Anforderungen anzupassen. Außerdem werden Sie an Ihrer Präsenz im Web arbeiten und mehr über den Einfluss von Plattformen wie LinkedIn, Xing, YouTube und Facebook  erfahren.

Human Resource Management (HR) recruit personnel in a way which benefits the businesses or company’s aims and goals. In order to find the right hire, a growing number of HR managers use recruiting software. This software generates candidate profiles and gives hiring teams the information they need to make the best choice.

This seminar will help you to improve your CV and write appealing and suitable cover letters that work well in the German job market. Additionally, you will focus on your web presence and learn more about the influence of platforms like LinkedIn, Xing, YouTube and Facebook.

Vorstellungsgespräche lassen sich gut üben und viel Nervosität damit vermeiden. In dem Workshop werden wir zum einem auf Stärken und Schwächen zu sprechen kommen und wie man damit im Gespräch umgeht. Du wirst deinen eigenen Lebenslauf im Gespräch darlegen und durch Tipps und Tricks zu den wichtigsten Fragen werden einige Stolpersteine erklärt und entschärft.
