Application for Master degree courses

Please apply via uni-assist e.V. for most of our programs. The only exception are part-time Master programs and Master programs with tuition fees (see below).

How to apply via uni-assist?

In order to create an application please use the uni-assist application portal. Fill in the form, do not forget to pay and submit your application electronically. After that, please send your the certified copies and additional application documents to uni-assist by post.

The websites of the different master programs will provide you with detailed information about further specific entry requirements.

Please note:

  • uni-assist charges a handling fee. Your application will not be processed until you pay this fee.
  • Your documents need to meet the required standards. Documents that are not originally in German or English need to be submitted translated to German.
  • Copies of your documents have to be legally attested.

Which documents are required for my uni-assist application?

  • Applications are only accepted for the winter semester.
  • Higher education degree in economics or similar field, equivalent to German higher education with a standard period of study of at least six semesters.
  • Language level English B2, DSH-2.
  • Fill outattachment 2a: Knowledge and application competencies in at least one of the following areas required: Internal accounting, external accounting, taxes or financing.
  • TM-WISO or GMAT
  • Performance overview.
  • Application for summer semester only; Deadline 15.10. the year before

    • Specification 'planning and building' (Faculty 1): Higher education degree in architecture or interior design
    • Specification 'intelligent systems' (Faculty 2): Higher education in computer sciences, mechatronics, or in a mechanical, or electro technical field, or engineering sciences
    • Specification 'case management' (Faculty 4): Higher education degree in care, health, rehabilitation, occupational/physiotherapy, curative education, social work or social sciences

  • Higher education degree in economics or similar field equivalent to a German higher education with a regular period of study of at least six semesters
  • Language efficiency test in English
    • IELTS at least 7 overall band score, TOEFL at least 95 points or 45 ECTS study modules completed in English
  • Fill out the attachment provided on the uni-assist portal: knowledge and competencies of 30 ECTS in at least one of the following areas are required: logistics, foreign trade, production,  supply chain management, or mobility

Application for winter or summer term

  • First University or College degree (Bachelor) in Computer Science / Informatics with at least 60 % of informatics.
    Degrees from outside of Germany will be evaluated against the German university education standards. Grades should be clearly above average: at least 2.0 according to the German grading scale)
  • special evaluation process for marks from 2,6 to 2,9 (according to German grading system)
  • proficiency in English (B2)

  • Higher education degree in electrical engineering, electrotechnical engineering or similar equivalent to German higher education with a regular period of study of at least six semesters

    • with a total grade of at least 2.5 according to German grading system
  • Proficiency in English (TOEFL 213 or IELTS 6 or Cambridge First Certificate A) or bachelor degree studied in English

  • CV demonstrating practical and work experiences

    • Applications are accepted for the winter and summer semester
    • Higher education degree in civil engineering or similar within this field equivalent to German higher education with a regular period of study of at least six semesters
      • Total grade of at least 2.8 (according to the German grading scale)
      • Basic knowledge in the area infrastructure planning
    • DSH-2 or equivalent
    • Application are accepted for the winter semester only
    • Higher education degree in economics or similar higher education degree with business content equivalent to German higher education with a regular period of study of at least six semesters

    • Higher education degree in the areas of mechatronics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or similar degree course with at least 210 ECTS credits

        or in a healthcare profession working closely with patients, as e.g., occupational therapy, physiotherapy, surgical assistant (OTA = Operationstechnische Assistent/-in), anesthesia assistant (ATA = Anästhesietechnische Assistent/-in), medical-technical assistant (MTA = Medizinisch-technischer Assistent), medical-technical radiological assistant (MTRA = Medizinisch-technische Radiologieassistent/ -in)

      • Higher education degree from the social, health and nursing care field equivalent to German higher education of at least six semesters

      • Higher education degree in business information technology or economics equivalent to German higher education of at least six semesters or related higher education degree, in which the following basic knowledge is stated: business information systems, economic law, economics, technical language English, key qualifications and vocational internship or at least six months work experience after this course of study.

      • Higher education degree in legal sciences or economics with a share of at least 50% in legal sciences equivalent to German higher education with a regular period of study of at least six semesters
