Preparatory college

You have acquired your higher education entrance qualification abroad and are interested in a Bachelor degree course, but you "only" have an indirect higher education entrance qualification? This is the case if your higher education entrance qualification aquired abroad are not equivalent to a German higher education entrance qualification (indirect higher education entrance qualification). In this case you have to attend the preparatory college prior to starting your studies and successfully complete the assessment test.

The preliminary evaluation of your university entrance qualification will be done through uni-assist e.V.. Please do not send your documents to the International Office, but directly to uni-assist in due form and time with all required documents.

On the following pages you will learn how to apply, which documents you need and further information. For EU-citizens are additional steps required.

Note: If your home country transcripts allow the first subject binding, you will be assigned to this course at the preparatory college. Only in exceptional cases, in which the certificates from the home country do not allow the first subject binding, the second subject binding is possible.

What is my Application status?

Due to the change of our campus management system, applications are currently managed differently. Therefore, it is only possible to view the processing status independently for certain degree programs. Information for the individual degree programs can be found below.

The Frankfurt UAS offers open degree programs and restricted (NC) degree programs.

In programs with restricted admissions, a selection procedure is carried out as soon as the number of applications exceeds the number of places available. Based on the 10% quota for foreign first-year students, the admission decision is made according to the legal regulations. Since the ranking list and an admission decision can only be made after the application deadline, you will receive written notification from the International Office of Frankfurt UAS approximately 4 to 6 weeks after the application deadline.

In open, i.e. non-restricted courses of study, you will always be granted a place and can enroll if your application has been submitted in due time and form and you meet all admission requirements for the desired course of study.
