The study program

Leadership in modern and internationally active organizations is crucial and is becoming increasingly important! In the newly designed Leadership and Psychology (M.A.) program at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, you will learn to understand psychological functions and will be equipped to analyze, develop, and implement fundamental processes of collaboration and leadership within an organization. By “fine-tuning” your personal leadership skills, we empower you to recognize and develop the competencies of your colleagues and to support them in an advisory capacity. In specially designed individual coaching programs, which are part of your studies for over a year, your personal and professional competencies will be expanded. In addition, you will gradually explore and develop which leadership concepts and methods you can apply in your own leadership practices and within the scope of your work in the field of human resources development and consulting.

Career prospects

The Leadership and Psychology (M.A.) program prepares you for a wide range of leadership and management roles, as well as for positions in human resources management, where you will be responsible for selecting executives, fostering their development, and advising them throughout the process. Potential areas of employment and work can be found in line management roles within companies, such as Human Resources, Business Development, and Marketing. You may also find opportunities in the broad field of management consulting, such as in change management for merger and acquisition projects.

Study structure

Three semesters (admission in the winter semester) – subject to the following condition:
The program is designed to last three semesters for applicants with a bachelor’s degree comprising 210 ECTS credits (= seven semesters).

Four-semester program (admission in the summer semester) – subject to the following condition:
The program is designed to last four semesters for applicants with a bachelor’s degree comprising 180 ECTS credits (= six semesters).

Initiative, motivation, and commitment are qualities that are almost as essential for students in the Leadership and Psychology (M.A.) program as they are for a leadership position itself, since achieving “milestones” in not all modules is done through exams, but rather through extensive independent work and individual coaching.

Important note:
The program can be completed while working, as in-person sessions are limited to Mondays and Tuesdays, with select block sessions on Fridays and Saturdays.
