Admission and Enrollment Requirements
Admission requirements:
(1) Admission to the three-semester program (admission only for the winter semester) is limited to applicants who have earned a first professional university degree in a program in business administration, economics, management, psychology, public administration, or business law, or in other programs with business-related content totaling 30 ECTS credits, e.g., Business Psychology, Business Education, with a minimum of 210 ECTS credits (Credit Points).
(2) Admission to the four-semester program (admission only for the summer semester) is limited to applicants who have passed the bachelor’s examination in a bachelor’s program in business administration, economics, management, psychology, public administration, or business law, or in other programs with business-related content totaling 30 ECTS credits, e.g., business psychology, business education, with a minimum of 180 ECTS credits.
(3) In addition to the requirements listed in paragraphs 1 and 2, the application requires proof of sufficient English language proficiency at a minimum of level B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The list of recognized language certificates is published on the Frankfurt UAS website. See also end of text!
(4) Applicants who hold a first professional university degree in another field and can demonstrate at least two years of full-time, academically qualified professional experience (minimum 30 hours per week) in an organization or company, upon submission of an employment contract or employer confirmation, may be admitted to the program.
(5) The current version of the Statutes of Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences governing the aptitude assessment procedure and the university selection procedure for admission to the Master’s programs with restricted admission in Department 3: Economics and Law, as amended, applies to the assessment of aptitude and the selection of applicants.
(6) The Examination Board determines whether the requirements set forth in paragraphs 1 through 4 have been met.
(7) Proof of the admission requirements in accordance with paragraphs 1 through 4 must be submitted with the application.
Accepted proof of language proficiency
- General: All supporting documents, including school transcripts, must not be more than five years old if they are intended to demonstrate language proficiency.
Exception: Proof of a bachelor’s or master’s degree completed entirely in English. - German university entrance qualification: English as a foreign language studied continuously (for at least five years) up to the qualification that grants university admission. The final grade, or otherwise the average grade from the last two school years, must be at least a German grade of “4” or 5 points.
- Foreign university entrance qualification: Provided that the language of instruction was English in all subjects except for foreign language acquisition
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree taught in English
- Proof of successful completion of English-language modules totaling at least 20 ECTS credits
- Proof of successful completion of an English-language specialized language certificate at the B2 level or higher, obtained at the Center for Specialized Languages at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences:
a. either at least 8 SWS General English B2 or
b. at least 4 SWS in the Specialized Language Certificate - Recognized standardized English B2 language tests:
