Support during your studies
The Deutschlandstipendium scholarship supports first-year students and students within the standard period of study whose academic record indicates that they are likely to achieve outstanding results in their studies and careers. The scholarship is awarded regardless of income and amounts to €300 per month for one year. The Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space and institutional or private sponsors each cover half of the amount.

- Important if applicable: Please elaborate on the information you provided in the application form (e.g. voluntary work, personal circumstances, etc.) in your cover letter and submit the relevant evidence/references/certificates/documents.
- Tabular CV with photo, one to two pages maximum, listing special awards/prizes, education, stays abroad, internships and employment periods of more than three months, birth certificates of your own children under the age of 16, if applicable, copy of your disability card
- Please list your educational background in chronological order
- Please ensure that your information is up to date, especially your contact details, as the notification will be sent to the email address provided

Bachelor's students in their first and second semesters with fewer than 30 ECTS credits: Certified university entrance qualification certificate and certificate of enrolment
All other Bachelor's students: Proof of module examination results achieved so far with average grade (arithmetic mean of the module grades awarded).
Master's students in the first and second semesters with fewer than 30 ECTS points achieved: grade of bachelor's certificate or of the last academic degree
Frequently asked questions
Applications are accepted exclusively via the Frankfurt UAS application portal (in German), which is activated once a year
- Students of all nationalities and all disciplines enrolled at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences are eligible to apply for the Deutschlandstipendium scholarship.
- The program must be completed within the standard period of study for the degree program. The summer semester 2020 and the winter semester 2020/21 are considered exceptional semesters and thus increase the standard period of study by one semester each (deviating from the standard periods of study specified in the examination regulations, according to Section 2 of the Ordinance on Coping with the Effects of the SARS-CoV-2 Pandemic in Higher Education of December 2021; GVBl. 2021, p. 130, a standard period of study increased by one semester each for students enrolled at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences in the summer semester 2020, winter semester 2020/2021, summer semester 2021 and/or winter semester 2021/22).
- Students enrolled in a second or supplementary degree program, a master's program, or a part-time/dual degree program are also eligible for funding – provided they are within the standard period of study for their respective program.
- Doctoral programs and preparatory college programs are excluded from funding.
- Students enrolled at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences are also eligible to apply (with a very good grade in their university entrance qualification).
- Excellent academic grades and academic performance (ECTS - European Credit Transfer System)
- In addition to performance, social criteria are also considered (e.g., awards and prizes, previous professional experience and internships, extracurricular or extracurricular activities, and the overcoming of biographical obstacles related to one's background, for example).
- The application and selection process takes the holistic personality of the applicant into account.
Scholarship recipients may not receive any other talent- and performance-based funding that averages €30 or more per month during the funding period. Funding for doctoral studies is not possible with a Deutschlandstipendium. Intentionally providing false information will result in disqualification from the scholarship.

Important instructions
- Intentionally providing false information will result in disqualification from the scholarship award.
- Scholarship recipients are required by Section 10 (2) of the StipG (Stipendium Act) to immediately notify the university's awarding office of any changes relevant to the scholarship award (e.g., discontinuation of studies, change of major, or de-registration).
- There is no legal entitlement to receive a Deutschlandstipendium.
- Scholarship places are awarded in accordance with the statutes of the Frankfurt UAS and subject to funding and the specifications of the sponsors.
Selection process
The selection process for the Deutschlandstipendium scholarship at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences is based on:
- The Act Establishing a National Scholarship Program (Stipendienprogramm-Gesetz, StipG)
- The Ordinance Implementing the Scholarship Program Act (Stipendienprogramm-Verordnung, StipV)
- and the statutes of Frankfurt UAS adopted by the Senate
A selection committee elected by the Senate decides on the award.
