Information on our courses and workshops for German as a foreign/second language

The Language Center offers many different courses in German ranging from level A1 to C1.2 (CEFR) in all phases of your studies. Some of our courses and workshops are also designed for students with German as a second language.

After successfully completing the levels A2, B1, and B2, you can take part in the UNIcert® exam for each level and obtain a UNIcert® Certificate.

You can find information about the preparatory courses for the DSH exam (Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang, German language examination for the university admission) under STEPS Frankfurt*International.

You’re not sure what language level you have? This graphic might help. To pick the right language course, you can also take a placement test.
