Prof Dirk Stegelmeyer and Prof Christian van Husen from Furtwangen University were recently in demand as experts at the VDMA Service Excellence conference: entitled "Superheroes with future potential - training service employees for the future of mechanical engineering", they discussed ways of training and retaining service specialists with around 100 service managers from the mechanical and plant engineering sector. Service will continue to grow and the need for qualified industrial and academic employees in service will also continue to grow.
