U!Pick Hackathon | November 5-7, 2026

Design the app that helps students choose their dream study abroad destination!

Have you ever felt lost and wished there was an app to show you the way?

Your task at the U!Pick Hackathon hosted by U!REKA European University is to design the concept for an app that makes the decision to study abroad easier, smarter, and more sustainable.

Incorporate SDG principles into mobility decisions so that we can all contribute to a greater goal. Let mentors and real-world challenges inspire you. Be prepared to present your work and handle feedback from the jury.

Three students from Frankfurt UAS will have the opportunity to participate in the U!Pick Hackathon in Ostrava (Czech Republic).

Where and when?

To ensure that all participants are on the same page, a brief online meeting will be held one week before the hackathon. The hackathon begins on Thursday evening, November 5, in Ostrava with a meet-up and team formation. Friday will focus on collaborating on your project, while Saturday will be dedicated to fine-tuning and presentations.

Target Audience

The hackathon is open to all students at U!REKA partner universities who enjoy a challenge, believe in their ideas, and want to meet new people. Applicants with a background in business, marketing, and IT may have a slight advantage.

• The event will be held in English.
• Participation is free of charge.
• Accommodation and meals will be covered by VSB-TUO.
• Frankfurt UAS provides travel funding for three students at approximately 450€ per person, plus a supplement if you are studying under difficult circumstances.
