Living and Studying in Frankfurt

Frankfurt: Endearing and Livable

Many people who don't know Frankfurt reduce the city to its central station area and banking district. However, the metropolis on the Main has much more to offer.

Skyline and greenery: Being the only German city with a skyline, "Mainhattan" evokes a real metropolitan feeling in everyone. In addition to the bustling city center, however, there are many green spaces in and around Frankfurt, such as the city forest, the Palmengarten and numerous parks.

Culinary and nightlife culture: In Frankfurt, cozy restaurants mingle with chic bars and cafés. There are various nightlife districts that provide a space for every cultural niche. As the largest city in Hesse, there is always something going on, which is why many young people from the surrounding areas gather in Frankfurt on the weekends.

Mobility: One of the biggest advantages is Frankfurt's compact size. The city truly feels like a village with high-rise buildings. Many sights and the important places of everyday student life can almost always be reached by bike in under 20 minutes.

Sport: Frankfurt is represented by many of its clubs in first league divisions: Eintracht Frankfurt in soccer, Skyliners in basketball and Löwen Frankfurt in ice hockey. The city also impresses with a wide variety of amateur sports clubs which provide a healthy break from studying or working.

Surroundings: Frankfurt's surrounding area has a lot to offer. In summer, there are several lakes for swimming, the mountains in Taunus are ideal for hiking and small, cozy towns as well as castles and palaces are inviting for a visit. Frankfurt's location in the heart of Europe means that attractive cities such as Berlin, Brussels, Paris, Amsterdam and Zurich can be reached by train in under five hours. From Frankfurt Airport, you can travel non-stop to the rest of the world.

The Campus of Frankfurt UAS

Our campus is located between the popular neighborhoods Nordend and Bornheim. Due to its compact size with many cozy student cafés, it offers an ideal feel-good atmosphere for studying, doing sports or just hanging out with fellow students.

There are many cafés, bars and restaurants nearby. Günthersburgpark, a popular meeting place among students in summer, is also just a short walk from the university.

Thanks to a well-developed bicycle and public transport infrastructure, our university is excellently connected to the rest of the city.

Frankfurt as a Business Location

As a university of applied sciences, a close connection of theory and practice is part of our self-understanding. Students therefore benefit from the university's location in the economically strong Rhine-Main metropolitan area. We also maintain numerous collaborations with local companies, universities, organizations, and institutions in the social and health sectors.

Students can gain valuable practical experience and network with contacts in the professional world in dual study programs, at career fairs, guest lectures and information events.
