An important pioneering sustainability project at Frankfurt UAS was that of the students who worked to ensure that we use fair trade products in our catering:
In cooperation with AStA (student councils) and Studierendenwerk (refectory), Frankfurt UAS actively assumes its responsibility towards university members and society. As a driving force for social, ecological, cultural and economic development, the university has been striving for the Fairtrade-University certificate since 2019, following a resolution in the student parliament and the senate.
Especially at a university of applied sciences it is important to live fair trade and thus set a good example. The topics of sustainability and fair trade are to be brought to the fore in everyday university life through projects and events.
