A building with an eventful history

Building 9 is the oldest building on our campus. Opened in 1906 as the "Königliche Baugewerkschule", today's Building 9, together with Building 8, marks the beginning of the long history of Frankfurt UAS.
The building took on its current form during reconstruction after the Second World War and was given a new façade by the HERR Foundation between 2019 and 2021.

During the day, large lectures by architects, civil engineers and geomatics specialists take place in the auditorium - in the evening it becomes a sports venue for CampusSport.

In 2020, the roof truss burnt out during renovation work. The extinguishing water caused damage to the entire building, which is why it is currently being gutted and completely renovated. In the process, exciting construction methods and details from the construction period around 1900 are coming to light again, which are now being made fit for the future.

We hope that the students of Faculties 1 and 2 will soon be able to use their popular lecture rooms and PC pools again.
