Always on the move: Tomorrow’s mobility and logistics reimagined today

Reorganising mobility and logistics in urban contexts efficiently is among the most urgent challenges of the near future. In the context of climate change, it is necessary to connect means of transport intelligently and intermodally, predominantly use emission-free means of transport, and thereby noticeably increase the efficiency of supply chains: It is a matter of (further) advancing a fundamental mobility transition.

The interdisciplinary research team of the Research Lab for Urban Transport (ReLUT) investigates mobility and logistics topics from very diverse aspects. The state of Hesse, the FrankfurtRhineMain region and the city of Frankfurt offer ideal "experimental conditions". This results in numerous projects bringing together actors from science, municipalities and companies.

The aim is to make effective contributions that help achieve climate protection goals and improve the quality of life.
