Which information is transmitted electronically?
- Notification M10 about your insurance status (subject to or exempt from compulsory insurance, not subject to compulsory insurance)
- Notification M11 about the change of health insurance company
- Notification M12 about the delay in payment of health insurance contributions. This notification will lead to an automatic exmatriculation at the end of the semester
- Notification M13 about the settlement of outstanding contributions
Statutory health insurance holders: Please request the “Notification M10 for the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences” from your statutory health insurance provider. This notification is sent directly to the university electronically by the statutory health insurance company. The insurance card or a written certificate of membership is not sufficient.
Privately insured persons: Please submit an “Application for exemption from compulsory health insurance for the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences” to any statutory health insurance company. After checking your application and granting the exemption, the statutory health insurance company will send the corresponding notification electronically to the university.
Insured persons with a “European Health Insurance Card”: Please contact any German statutory health insurance company and instruct them to transmit your health insurance status to the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences. After verification, the statutory health insurance company will send the corresponding notification electronically to the university.
In order to facilitate the transmission of the electronic notification, please communicate the sender number “H0001610” for the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences to your health insurance.
If you are already enrolled, Frankfurt UAS will have your health insurance details or health insurance status since the day you enrolled.
If you change your statutory health insurance provider or are informed by your statutory health insurance provider that have outstanding contributions, you must take action:
- Change of health insurance company: inform the new health insurance company about your studies at Frankfurt UAS.
- Late payment of contributions: Pay the contributions as soon as possible. If the university does not receive notification of payment of the outstanding contributions (M13) on time, you will not be able to re-register for the following semester. The university must then carry out compulsory exmatriculation.
Preparatory college students do not take part in the student notification procedure (SMV) and do not have to request registration with a statutory health insurance company for the Frankfurt UAS.
However, proof of health insurance coverage in Germany must be enclosed with the enrollment documents. The insurance period must cover the duration of the semester (April 1st - September 30th for a summer semester or October 1st - March 31st for a winter semester).
