Dear Readers,

The Faculty of Business and Law offers all groups of prospective students an attractive and challenging range of courses, which is reflected in 19 goal-oriented Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes. With around 3,500 students, we are one of the most established Business and Law Faculties in Germany. Our top priority is to ensure a practical approach, with a focus on fine tuning problem solving skills, which will enable our graduates to meet the professional challenges of the coming decades. Topics such as climate change, changes in the labour market as well as in the political landscape will be introduced and analyzed. In addition, special emphasis is placed on interdisciplinary work in small groups in all of the degree programmes.

As a Faculty focused on teaching and researching withpractice and for practice(!), we maintain close contact with regional companies and institutions, as well as internationally active global players, with the aim of providing practice-oriented knowledge transfer as part of our social responsibility. Our research is explicitly supported by committed professors, our institutes and centres, academic staff, students and innovative partners. We decide independently and responsibly on the content of our research.

Based on the motto “We do not just talk, but act” we are looking forward to meeting curious students, dedicated partners, competent and social lecturers and associates – who are all striving to attain attributes such as “ecologically and economically responsible”, “acting with integrity”, “professionally ethical” and “engaged with life”.
