Dear readers,

the faculty Business and Law offers an attractive and challenging range of courses for all kinds of soon-to-be students and comprises of 19 goal-driven bachelor and master degree courses. With around 3.500 students, we are among the established jurisprudential and economic faculties in Germany. Our top priority is to ensure practicable and problem-solving approaches to teaching so our alumni are able to master the upcoming challenges of the next decade. This includes topics such as political, employment and climate change. Furthermore, our focus lies on interdisciplinary work in small groups.

As a faculty that teaches and researches with practice for practice (!) we keep in close contact with regional companies and institutions as well as internationally operating global players. We aspire to accomplish practice-oriented transfer of knowledge according to our social responsibility. Our research is underpinned particularly by dedicated professors, research assistants, institutes and centers, students and innovative partners. We decide on the contents of our research independently and responsibly.

Based on the motto “We do not just talk, but act” we are looking forward to meeting curious students, dedicated partners, competent and social tutors and associates – that all strive towards filling attributes such as “ecologically and economically responsible”, “integrity”, “professional ethics” and “commitment” with life.

With best regards,

Prof. Dr. Kai-Oliver Schocke
