Internship Overseas
How about an internship overseas during your studies?
We support your project either with the Erasmus+or the Promos scholarship. Unfortunately, we are unable to find or arrange an internship for you, but we can make it easier for you financially. Only mandatory internships Social Work transnational can be supported with Erasmus +, other internships can be supported by Promos.
All information about the funding and how to apply for it can be found in our Campuas Course Preparation for a Study Abroad. Unfortunately only in German at present.
We cannot grant any scholarships overseas after you have graduated.
Deadline for the funding
Promos:
If you start your internship between January and June, the application deadline is November 15 of the previous year.
If you start your internship between July and December, the application deadline is April 15 of the same year.
Erasmus + Overseas for the study program Social Work Transnational:
at the latest sex weeks before your internship starts
Requirements for the funding:
- The internship must last at least 60 days
- It must be a full-time job
- The internship must be related to the course of study
- You must be enrolled at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences
- Erasmus+ scholarships are granted only to those students who study Social Work transnational
- no scholarships available for graduated students overseas

A selection committee decides on the awarding of Erasmus + Scholarships Overseas (only for mandatory internships that have to be carried out abroad, this means only for Social Work transnational) and Promos Scholarships according to the following criteria:
- Well formulated and justified letter of motivation.
- Good knowledge of English or knowledge of the language in which the internship will take place
- Good grade point average
- Voluntary commitment
- Good letter of recommendation in English
Scholarships are awarded according to the quality of the application. There is no entitlement to funding, funds are limited. We look forward to receiving your application in time for the deadline. Submit the documents by E-mail at overseas@io.fra-uas.de.

The Erasmus+ scholarship is only a partial scholarship.
For your mandatory internship abroad you will be granted two monthy rates of 700,00 Euro and travel expenses, depending on the distance of your destination of travel.
The following top ups are possible:

Travel allowance depending on distance, a copy of the airline ticket must be submitted as proof:

2000 - 2999 KM | 395 EUR |
3000 - 3999 KM | 580 EUR |
4000 - 7999 KM | 1.188 EUR |
8000 KM or more | 1.735 EUR |
If you receive a Promos scholarship then you can expect 2 - 3 residence rates depending on the country. Depending on the travel destination you will be granted monthly rates from 350 - 550 Euro. You can find the monthly raten on the DAAD Website. Unfortunately only in German.
The Promos Scholarship is only a partial scholarship and will not be sufficient to fund your entire stay.
