Guest student status

General information

As a guest student, you can attend various courses without being enrolled at our university.

Guest students are permitted to attend lectures totaling a maximum of twelve semester hours per week. They are not entitled to take part in examinations but can receive a certificate of attendance from the lecturers.

Becoming a guest student is not possible for all degree programs, for example, if the number of study places is usually already exhausted on degree programs with NC admission restrictions. If you are interested, you can contact the responsible lecturers and inquire about the possibility of becoming a guest student after we have sent you the application for the guest student status.

How do I apply for guest student status?

If you are interested in becoming a guest student, please contact the Student Services Center:  studienbuero(at)fra-uas.de

  1. The Student Office will send you the application form for guest students.

  2. The next step is to obtain the signatures of the lecturers of the desired modules. Under certain circumstances, the application may be rejected by them.

  3. The completed application for guest student status and a copy of your ID must be sent by email studienbuero(at)fra-uas.de no later than two weeks after the start of lectures.

  4. The fee of €100 must be paid no later than one week after the deadline (see application form for account details). The application for guest student status will only become legally valid once both the application and the fee have been received in full and on time.

  5. You will then receive approval of your application by email. This serves as proof of your guest student status.

University account during the guest student period

Please note that you will not receive a university account (CIT account) as you are not regularly enrolled. However, you can obtain access to campUAS as a guest student.

Alternatives to the guest student status

As an alternative, our university regularly offers various programs to get to know the degree program. You can find information on this at the Student Advisory Center.
