Digital Transformation and Its Effects

Digital transformation is fundamentally changing companies and societies. Technologies such as digital platforms, social media and artificial intelligence (AI) play a central role in this: they influence corporate structures and the behaviour of employees. Despite the promising potential of modern technologies, there are numerous challenges: in terms of their implementation, organisational adaptability and social impact. It is therefore important to better understand the dynamics and mechanisms in order to support organisations and society in using them successfully.

More efficient decisions with AI

Diana Fischer-Preßler is investigating how AI is changing work processes within organisations by supporting automation and data-driven decision-making processes. She is also researching how digitalisation is transforming traditional working models and promoting new, flexible forms of organisation. In the area of crisis management, she is also investigating how modern technologies can process information better and make more efficient decisions, thereby optimising the coordination and handling of crisis situations.

Social impact of digital technologies

At the same time, her research is dedicated to the social impact of digital technologies, particularly in the area of social media. She investigates how new opportunities for interaction arise and what consequences this has for social discourse. In doing so, she looks at the influence of decentralised social media platforms, which open up alternative digital spaces and enable new dynamics of information dissemination and social networking.

Recommendations for action for organisations

Diana Fischer-Preßler's aim is to offer organisations recommendations for the successful implementation of modern technologies and to reflect on their social impact.
