Admission requirements & deadlines at a glance
The course of study is n o t subject to admission restrictions.
(1) The Master's degree program is consecutive. Admission to the Master's program is only possible for students who
- has passed the Bachelor's examination in the Bachelor's degree program in Business Law or the Diplom examination in the Diplom degree program in Business Law at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences with a grade of 3.0 or better, or
- has passed the Bachelor's examination in the accredited Bachelor's degree program in Business Law or the Diplom examination in the accredited Diplom degree program in Business Law at another university with a grade of 3.0 or better, or
- has passed the first state examination in law or
- has a degree at least equivalent to the degrees in accordance with paragraph 1 no. 1 and 2 or a related degree from Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences or another university, in particular in the fields of law or economics, with a standard period of study of at least six semesters and a 50% legal component, or
- a foreign degree in the same or a related field as in paragraph 1 no. 1 - 3 with a standard period of study of at least six semesters and a 50% legal component, which is at least equivalent to the degrees in paragraph 1 no. 1 and 2. The legal component requires a sound knowledge of German law. Knowledge of foreign law is not sufficient.
(2) The subject profile of the degree in accordance with paragraph 1 must meet the requirements of the Master's degree course in Business Law: Contract Design and Digitization. In the cases of paragraph 1 no. 2, 4 and 5, this requires that the qualification proven with the degree includes knowledge and application skills in the areas listed below:
for degrees in accordance with paragraph 1 no. 2:
Professional internship semester or at least six months of professional practice after this degree,
for degrees in accordance with paragraph 1 no. 4 and 5:
Proven basic knowledge in the areas of: Private commercial law, labor law, European law, corporate law, business administration, economics, technical language English, key qualifications and practical professional semester or at least six months of professional practice after these degrees. 50% German law content must be proven in the degree program or the applicant must otherwise prove an equivalent of at least 90 CP in German law.
In the cases of paragraph 1 no. 2, 4 and 5, the Examination Board may combine admission with the condition that proof of successful completion of modules from the Bachelor's degree program in Business Law amounting to up to 30 CP must be provided before admission to the Master's thesis. The Examination Board decides on the selection of modules.
(3) The existence of the prerequisites in accordance with paragraphs 1 and 2 shall be determined by the Examination Board.
(4) If, in the cases of paragraph 1 no. 2, 4 and 5, the previous degree program comprised less than 210 ECTS credits, admission is subject to the condition that proof of successful completion of modules worth up to 30 ECTS credits must be provided before admission to the Master's thesis. For this purpose, students can choose from the modules offered in the Bachelor's degree programs at Faculty 3: Business and Law at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences. The Examination Board decides on the number and selection of modules. The Examination Board may recognize relevant professional experience (skills acquired outside of higher education) up to 30 ECTS points (credit points). The regulations in § 21 of the AB Bachelor Master apply in this regard.
Deadlines:
The deadline for receipt of the application for admission for the winter semester is September 30 for applicants with a German degree and July 15 for applicants with an international degree.
