Research
My research explores the German banking system, especially the network-based (Verbund) structures of cooperative and savings banks. My work addresses current changes and challenges in the financial sector, including diversity-related issues and the transition toward more sustainable business models.
My research focuses on financial literacy and the development of financial competencies across diverse life and decision‑making contexts. I examine how financial knowledge, attitudes, and financial behavior are shaped by contextual conditions, with the aim of making financial literacy more broadly accessible and more responsive to the needs of different groups.
