Description of the degree program
Two of the most popular interdisciplinary degree courses: law and economics. The degree program combines law and economics subjects. You can work at the interface between law and economics or in just one of these areas, advising and shaping companies of all kinds as well as large law firms. This degree program provides you with the skills to apply legal and economic expertise to complex business issues and to develop interdisciplinary solutions. You will also learn how to familiarize yourself with new subject areas and special issues using appropriate methods and how to present the results of your work in a professional manner. Your studies are rounded off by a practical semester and, if applicable, the opportunity to study for a semester at a European or non-European partner university or to take part in international short programs. You are particularly suitable for this degree course if you have the following skills: very good written and spoken German language skills, analytical thinking skills, the ability to think abstractly, good English and mathematics skills and an interest in global political and economic affairs.
Career prospects
With an internationally recognized university degree as a “Bachelor of Laws” (LL.B.) you have excellent career prospects! You will find possible fields of work above all in legal and other departments of commercial, service and industrial companies, in banks, management and personnel consultancies, tax consultancies, auditing firms and in large law firms.
The focus of the study content is on the legal field. This takes up a share of about 60 percent; about 30 percent of the study program is devoted to business studies content; about 10 percent to key competencies and English as a technical language.
