The real estate is in the center of attention right from the start. You will get to know the real estate market and its participants already in the first semester. Additionally, necessary general and specialized basics are implemented. During the third and fourth semester you acquire the specific Facility Management competencies, prior to a practical term during the fifth semester. After this practical phase you learn and interact together with students of the degree course Real Estate and Integral Part of Building Technology in projects, in-depth mandatory and planning-oriented modules, before you turn to your bachelor thesis to complete your studies.
You will attain the academic degree 'Bachelor of Science' (B.Sc.) after successfully completing your studies.
Course catalogue
Modularization during the studies is a study structure, in which courses such as lectures, exercises, practical internships, excursions or seminars about certain topics are combined in modules. The structure of a module is determined by the competence, which is to be achieved upon completion of the module.
The module handbook entails information about the duration, credits, type of examination, admission requirements, learning results, workload, learning type, content, literature, module coordinator of modules of the degree course. The module overview and the study content can be downloaded as a PDF.
Admission requirements
A real estate-related pre-study internship of 12 weeks is required if you would like to enroll into the bachelor’s degree course. It is recommended completing this self-organized internship prior to the start of studies, in order to acquaintance oneself at an early stage with the field of real estate and facility management.
The real estate-related pre-study internship includes practical activities in the real estate industry, e.g. real estate management, technical or commercial property management, building cleaning, building services engineering, building extension.
The proof of the completion of the manual labor pre-study internship is to be submitted to the examination board at the latest when registering for the practical study semester. The original certificate of the company you completed the internship at is to be submitted, which includes the period of the internship and the completed practical tasks.
