Description of the degree program

Exciting, multifaceted and challenging - this is how your studies and your future career will be shaped. The program is characterized by a sound scientific education with a high reference to internationality and practice. It combines the teaching of theoretical knowledge and practical skills against the background of foreign language and intercultural challenges. In addition to training in core subjects of business administration, economics and law, as a graduate of the program you will have a sound understanding of the political, legal and economic framework of the international environment. The program also includes courses on key qualifications such as communication skills and dealing with cultural differences. The program includes a mandatory international year, during which courses are taught exclusively in English. This international year takes place in a multinational environment: either at a university abroad or in Frankfurt with international fellow students. In addition, we recommend that you complete the internship module abroad.

Career prospects

As graduates of the bachelor's degree program in International Business Administration you are excellently prepared for management activities in internationally cooperating and operating companies, industrial groups, banks as well as service companies and public institutions. Possible fields of activity include marketing, management, finance and accounting as well as human resources and organization, taxes, advertising and communication.

Study structure

The international study program is designed for seven semesters. The study program structure is flexible and opens up various options for your participation: from "internationalization at home" at the home university to three semesters abroad with the option of a double degree, provided there is a corresponding agreement with the partner university. If you successfully participate in a double degree program, you will also be awarded the degree of the partner university upon completion of your bachelor's degree at Frankfurt UAS.

Stage 1 – Basics

In the first three semesters, you will acquire basic business knowledge. This also includes the necessary knowledge of business and tax law, basic economics, and training in methodological subjects and a business language.

Stage 2 – International year

With regard to the participation of foreign students and the courses offered in English, the second stage consists of the 3rd and 4th semesters. The international orientation may also include the internship module abroad, which is scheduled for the 5th semester.

Stage 3 – Advanced studies

In the 6th and 7th semesters, you will choose a major field of study from the following offerings according to your inclinations and interests:

  • Marketing
  • Human Resources and Organizational Management
  • Production Management and Logistics
  • Business taxation
  • Auditing
  • Controlling

In the advanced studies, you will also choose three modules from an elective program geared to business practice, which includes the following topics, among others: Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Business Process Management (BPM), Economic Outlook/Management Trends, Business Law, Internet Applications, Business Organization, Evaluation of Operational Databases, Entrepreneurship, International Management, Technical Language I/II and Interdisciplinary General Studies.

  • The International Business Administration program comprises 210 credit points (ECTS) and has been accredited by FIBAA.
  • Upon successful completion of your studies, we will award you the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree.

Our double degree partners are Arcada University of Applied Sciences in Helsinki, Cracow University of Econonimcs, Budapest Business School University of Applied Sciences, Edinburgh Napier University, Sanda University in Shanghai and the PUCRS in Brazil. Places at the universities abroad are allocated according to our evaluation criteria, demand and availability.
